Really elegant approach executed with skill. Haven't tested the entire solution, but that's not the point. The approach paves the way for others to follow.

I think this is a very valuable effort, what really bites me is that is not implemented directly on VS, when I started developing asp.net I begin with VS2005, and I really truly believe something like this was already part of the framework, it was a shame to discover it wasn´t, I hope this become mainstream.

We struggled with the membership control styling and this was a massive time saver. Thanks a ton

Review based on TreeView: unordered list rendering is great, too bad postbacks don't work. Nice job with your crazy state saving for expanded nodes getting saved in the node's value viewstate.

Fails to render GridView, FormView, and CreateUserWizard properly. In some circumstances no html is rendered when setting controls to edit, read-only, and insert mode. I had to comment out those controls in the cssfriendlyadapters.brows
er file.
